Trees inspire serenity and solitude of nature.
Mary-Jo's passion started with enhancing indoor water fountains with trees.The trees started becoming their own individual pieces of art. Willows,pines,spruces,oaks and maple trees started to evolve. They are created from different gauges of various types of wire like copper, galvanized steel, brass, tinned copper and annealed black wire. Every tree is mounted onto either rocks such as sodalite, amazonite, granite, petrified wood and many others. Wood bases are also used. The pieces often have functional purposes like book ends or business card holders.
New inspirations and ideas are never far away. Much bigger and complex pieces are planned for the future introducing other mediums to the wire sculpture.
